| SchoolRecruiter and K12 Enterprise Integrate to Provide End-to-End Human Resource Functionality for School Districts K12 Enterprise and SchoolRecruiter have partnered to allow for the two products to easily be integrated. This reduces data entry and simplifies processes for HR and payroll departments in school districts. Combining K12 Enterprise with SchoolRecruiter allows employee information to be entered during the application process and easily transferred into K12 Enterprise when the hiring process is completed. Information might include basic address and contact data, hire date, certifications, supporting documentation such as fingerprint, background check, and diplomas. The automatic flow of data from SchoolRecruiter to K12 Enterprise not only saves HR and payroll departments extra steps in data entry, but also reduces the risk of errors from having data keyed in multiple times. If you would like more information about SchoolRecruiter, visit their website at www.netchemia.com/schoolrecruiter/. |

Copy and Paste Into NAV From the Web or Word? You Could Be Unknowingly Adding Unwanted Characters to Your Data In most cases the cause of the characters is connected to the entering of data by copying and pasting from a source on the Internet or in a formatted document. This can create issues within NAV because formatting elements are copied and entered without the knowledge of the user and are not visable at the time of entry. This can add characters to the entered information, making sorting, searching, and filtering difficult. For that reason, we recommend not copying and pasting into NAV forms from any formatted source. An easy work-around is to copy the data into Notepad, and copy from Notepad into NAV. Notepad removes formatting elements automatically. Make Sure You Have the MICR Font Needed to Print Payroll Checks If you process your payroll in house and are considering purchasing new computers for your payrolls staff, it is important to remember that Microsoft Dynamics NAV generates checks using a customized MICR Line font that does not come installed with Windows. This means that any new computer that will be used to process payroll must have the MICR Line font installed for checks to print properly. How to Install the MICR Font: 1) First, ensure that AVF has provided you with the MICR font. If you haven't recieved it, contact the Customer Care department. 2) Once you have downloaded the font, unzip the file. 3) Right-click on the font file and select install. The MICR font will now be available for Microsoft Dynamics NAV to use in the check printing process. We recommend printing a test check to ensure that the install has worked. |
