Everyone is Talking About the RoleTailored Interface of NAV 2009

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 is designed to be the most streamlined, efficient, and user friendly version of NAV to date and  features the RoleTailored interface, marking a dramatic shift in the way users interact with their ERP solution.

The RoleTailored interface was designed after extensive efficiency and responsibility research by Microsoft. With 21 different role categories, employees will enjoy a single view of job-related tasks and information. The new interface serves to help employees organize, prioritize, and access their work from a single location, increasing productivity and effectiveness. With an easy-to-navigate window into the work world and the ability to personalize their Role Centers to fit their own unique work styles, employees have a powerful way to get work done accurately and efficiently.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 also features improved business intelligence and reporting capabilities based on the new Microsoft SQL Server database layer, enabling employees to drill into data, identify trends, generate business insights, and monitor how they’re tracking against key performance indicators. The new Business Analytics in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 delivers powerful new features designed to make it easier for your employees to create and consume business information.

AVF Consulting Closed for the Labor Day Holiday

AVF Consulting Holiday Closure:   

AVF Consulting will be closed Monday September 7, 2009 in honor of Labor Day. This means that on Labor Day, all AVF employees will be out of the office and there will be no customer service representatives available to respond to your AVF Helpdesk requests. If you would like to have access to AVF customer support for after-hours emergency support on occasions such as this, you must sign up for access to the After-Hours call in service in advance. Signing up is free! You are only billed when you use the service or request Emergency After-Hours work.  Rates for this service are higher than AVF's standard hourly rates.

AVF Welcomes New Customers

In the past 6 months AVF Consulting has welcomed seven new clients to the AVF Customer family.

School Districts - K12 Enterprise

Eastern Lebanon County and Palmyra Area School Districts join the rapidly growing family of PA school district clients. Both districts are located in Lebanon County and each represent around 3,000 K-12 students.

Retail - LS Retail

Big B World is a retail distributor specializing in video games. Based in New York, Big B World currently operates seven stores.

Campus Bookstore is a not-for-profit corporation that endeavors to distribute required course material at the lowest possible price to students, while operating a comprehensive University bookstore for the Queen's University community.

Nonprofit - Serenic Navigator

League of Women Voters is a nonprofit organization based is Washington, DC that encourages active and informed participation in government.

Alliance, Inc. partners with governmental agencies, corporations, and foundations to offer services that are tailored to people with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance abuse problems.

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland is an organization dedicated to advancing the independence of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities

Tips and Tricks

Help Desk!

One of the great features of the AVF Consulting website is the Help Desk. As a customer, the best way to get support from the AVF Team is to leverage the Help Desk by putting in a support ticket. Putting in a ticket for support means the entire AVF CustomerCare department will be notified of the issue you are experiencing and will be able to respond more quickly. The Help Desk was created to streamline the support process by making customer support a collaborative process between the CustomerCare team and the client.
