SEPTEMBER 2008

AVF Launches New Website and Redesigned Newsletter
September is an exciting month at AVF. Over the past few months, we have been hard at work creating a new website to better serve our customers and prospects. The new website provides easier access to information for the industries we serve.

The homepage of the website contains information specifically for you, our customers.  In addition to News & Events, the right side of the homepage contains links to the newsletter, the HelpDesk, information on the CCP program and IT Services.  In the navigation bar, you'll see a link to "Add-Ons".  Here you will find specialty products developed by AVF and our partners.  These products include Spellcheck, PDF Pro, ChargeLogic and others that you may find valuable.

Because AVF serves specific industries, we've created areas that speak directly to these industries:  K-12 schools, nonprofits, and retail.  Click on the links below to visit these areas.

In addition to the updates to the website, we have redesigned our customer newsletter to better reflect the graphic presentation of the website and to help you get to the articles that you are interested in more quickly.

We'd love to get your feedback on the website, newsletter or both!  Contact Karen Tran at ktran@avfconsulting or 443-279-1026 with your comments and suggestions.  She'd appreciate hearing from you.

Track Active Windows

When running reports with multiple open applications in the background (such as Customers, Orders and Vendors), Microsoft Dynamics NAV will, by default, return to the most recent active application upon completion of the report. This can cause frustration when trying to run multiple reports in succession.

By disabling "Track Active Windows", NAV will remain on your last menu selection.

To disable "Track Active Windows", right click on the top blue bar on the navigation menu (see image below) and select Navigation Pane Options from the drop down menu. When the Navigation Pane Options window opens, you will notice the Track Active Windows check box is checked by default. Uncheck it to disable active window tracking.
