AVF NAV 2009: Get all the info you need on the NAV 2009 section of AVF's website!
| In February of 2009, Microsoft released the latest version of NAV called Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 It features the RoleTailored Client, an exciting new direction in the way users interact with the solution. The RoleTailored Client interface was designed after extensive efficiency and responsibility research by Microsoft. Featuring 21 different role categories, the RoleTailored Client offers users a single view of job-related tasks and information. The new interface serves to help employees organize, prioritize, and access their work from a single location, increasing productivity and effectiveness. With an easy-to-navigate window into the work world and the ability to personalize their Role Centers to fit their own unique work styles, employees have a powerful way to get work done accurately and efficiently. Our website now features an extensive section dedicated to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the RoleTailored Client. Thanksgiving Holiday Closure- November 26 and 27 AVF Consulting will be closed November 26th and 27th, 2009 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. This means that on Thursday and Friday all AVF employees will be out of the office and there will be no customer service representatives available to respond to your AVF Helpdesk requests. AVF Consulting Holiday Party Closure- December 11th AVF Consulting will be closed in the afternoon on December 11th, 2009 for the our company holiday party. This means that after 12:00 p.m. on Friday all AVF employees will be out of the office and there will be no customer service representatives available to respond to your AVF Helpdesk requests. If you would like to have access to AVF customer support for after-hours emergency support during times when AVF Consulting is closed, you must sign up for access to the After-Hours call in service in advance. Signing up is free! You are only billed when you use the service or request Emergency After-Hours work. Rates for this service are higher than AVF's standard hourly rates. The Change Log can be set up and activated to log record insertion, modification, or deletion. This is helpful in tracking changes made to the system. The Change Log Setup List Window lets you specify what the program must record and for a given table. Typically you would not want to set the Change Log to record all table changes, as this would quickly increase the size of your database (i.e. setting it to record insertions made to the G/L Entry table would record every G/L entry). Instead, we recommend setting the Change Log to record and track changes to key master tables like the G/L Account, Customer, or Vendor tables. Setting up the Change Log in this way will provide you with a record of all changes to the G/L Account, Customer, or Vendor Cards and a copy of the original entry.
