Not For Profit Solution Center Announces Agenda for May 25 NGO Connection Day in Manhattan
Full-Day Event Features Keynotes, Panel Discussions, Breakouts, and Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM Demonstrations for Not for Profit Professionals

WASHINGTON-The Not for Profit (NFP) Solution Center, a network of Microsoft Dynamics partners and others in the Microsoft Community, today announced that the agenda for its May 25 NGO Connection Day in Manhattan has been confirmed. The second in a series of nationwide events for association and NFP financial, executive, and technology professionals, the Manhattan NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) Connection Day will feature an agenda replete with breakouts, panel discussions and Microsoft Dynamics product demonstrations.

NFP financial, professional, and technical executives can register here to attend the event. It is complimentary for NFP professionals to attend however pre-registration is required. The event will be held at the Microsoft Manhattan office at 1290 Avenue of the Americas.

NFP thought leader Dan McCormick, Author and Founder of the McCormick Group, will be the keynote speaker. McCormick’s keynote is titled “The Power of Successful Partnerships: Building Non-Profit Capacity and Ensuring Delivery of the Mission.” McCormick is a popular speaker at NFP events nationwide.

McCormick said, “There’s clearly a sea change in the way not for profits have to work and the change means collaboration, consolidation and mergers. Successful not for profits are open to embracing core structural changes as they reposition from difficult economic times and prepare for what’s next.”

Cloud computing, one of the hottest technology trends for NFPs, will be addressed at the event in detail. Microsoft’s Director of Cloud Computing, Stan Freck, will speak about how Microsoft is bringing affordable cloud computing solutions to NFPs. Freck’s presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring executives from Microsoft, Robin Hood Foundation, UNICEF, and Urban Pathways addressing cloud computing implementation strategies.

Some of Microsoft’s top partners will be demonstrating Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions for NFPs at the event. Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions provide the necessary infrastructure that is critical for the membership management, financial reporting and grant management required of all NFPs.

The lunchtime keynote speaker will be New York City Councilwoman Christine Quinn. The afternoon session will feature multiple breakouts ranging from green IT, creating measurable results, Microsoft Dynamics CRM for NFPs, and social media for NFPs.

The day will conclude with a presentation by Andrea Taylor, Director of Community Affairs, Microsoft Corporation entitled “Unleashing Technology to Advance Social and Economic Development.”

Lisa Malone, Microsoft Partner Account Manager and NFP Solution Center Manager, has witnessed the significant growth of Microsoft Dynamics solutions at NFPs over the years and believes that the NGO Connection Day is happening at the perfect time.

“The NGO Connection Day will help NFP executives discover ways to address the major challenges they are facing today, such as membership management, revenue growth, improving productivity and organizational development,” she said. “From start to finish, the day will offer leading edge tips, guidelines, and programs NFPs can implement immediately to meet these challenges.”
