Not for Profit Solution Center to Present Microsoft Dynamics Cloud Computing Strategy for NFPs at May 25 Event in New York City
Many NFPs standardizing on Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM for membership management, financial reporting and grant management infrastructure strongly considering cloud computing
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Not for Profit Solution Center, a network of Microsoft Dynamics partners, today announced that Microsoft’s cloud computing strategy for ERP and CRM solutions will be a featured topic at the NGO Connection Day on May 25 in Manhattan. The NGO Connection Day will be a unique opportunity for not for profit (NFP) executive, financial and IT professionals to get their questions answered about cloud computing and if it’s the best approach for them to take when deploying Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions. It’s generally accepted in the NFP arena that Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions provide the necessary infrastructure critical for membership management, financial reporting and grant management required of NFPs.
Stan Freck, Microsoft Director of Cloud Computing for the US Public Sector markets and keynote speaker at the NGO Connection Day, said that there are many benefits to NFPs in utilizing cloud computing.
“NFPs can take advantage of the deep investment Microsoft has made in cloud computing at a very inexpensive price while avoiding many barriers to entry. This frees them up to focus on their mission and service,” he said. “For example, with cloud computing, NFPs will always have the latest version of Dynamics at their disposal, security concerns addressed, and access to support from their partner and Microsoft at very compelling pricing.”
Freck said that his presentation will help NFPs determine the level of investment in cloud computing they should consider, what the trade offs and risks are, and how legacy systems factor into their decision.
The NFP Solution Center is comprised of leading Microsoft partners that have expertise in bringing ERP and CRM products and services to NFPs. Many of these partners have been supporting NFPs for decades. One such partner is AVF Consulting. AVF Consulting offers a wide range of technology solutions for not for profits and is the leading Serenic Navigator reseller in the U.S. Serenic Navigator is a top Microsoft Dynamics-based not for profit accounting software platform for automating, improving, and streamlining NFP processes. AVF clients include The Salvation Army, AED-ARTS, Habitat for Humanity, International Planned Parenthood, Gifts in Kind International, and Pact World.
“Cloud computing allows trusted, reliable access to technology that might otherwise take up a nonprofit’s resources,” says Andrew Fass, CEO of AVF Consulting. “Traditionally, an organization needed to have IT resources to manage the software and hardware associated with their ERP system. Cloud computing creates a strong ROI factor in that it eliminates the need for a nonprofit to become experts in ERP technology. Instead, they can focus their resources on the nonprofit’s core mission.”
Lisa Malone, Microsoft Partner Account Manager and NFP Solution Center Manager, has seen how NFPs have gravitated to Microsoft technologies for the past decade.
“The interest in utilizing Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions via cloud computing to improve membership management, implement accurate and timely reporting methods, and improve access to data makes a lot of sense for small to mid-sized NFPs as it relates to cost controls, usability, and service levels,” she said. “At the NGO Connection Day, NFP executives will have a great opportunity to learn about everything related to cloud computing and determine if it’s the right approach for them to take when deploying Dynamics solutions.”
